The ants go marching

The ants go marching....what a great Dave Mathews Band song!  But music is not the subject of today's post....  although some *ahem* older people may think that some kinds of music are pesty, annoying, bothersome, etc....I'm talking ANTS.....the real ones...the ones that 'SHOULD' stay outside, but sometimes meander their way indoors.

We were out pulling weeds the other day and found a big ant hill.  Lucky for us, I had a Combat ant killing strips package waiting to be used.  These are discrete enough to be used indoors, but since our current problem was outside, I quickly grabbed them and set them out next to the hill.  The nice thing about the strips is that the ants take the bait back to the nest and it kills the whole colony.  It worked fast.  They were mostly gone the next day.






The little strips have an adhesive backing that makes it easy to hide out of sight and reach of kids or pets....or both.....  Sometime they are ONE and the SAME!  ;-)
