I can't believe I actually broke 100!
Also...I can't believe I WON!!!
We had a wonderful time at the Fat Cats in SLC and in Ogden!  They are nice, family friendly locations with automatic bumpers and the roller ramp things for kiddo's.

We went on a Saturday afternoon, and they were busy, but we were able to get a lane right away with out a wait.  Our Pizza and breadsticks came about half way through the game.  The 70 minutes was plenty of time to complete 1 full game with 6 players (one being my 6 year old that had to contemplate life at the end of the lane on each turn) and then played 2 full frames each on a second turn.

We received a family special to be able to provide this review.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Review: Midway Ice Castles

 Midway Ice Castles Review!

We had the SUPER fun experience of visiting the Midway, UT Ice Castles last Saturday.  It is a little over 45 minutes from Salt Lake City.  It is well worth the visit!  They have been building the ice castles for several years now, but this year has been the shortest season due to the warmer than normal weather.  If your interested in going, keep your eyes peeled on their facebook page as that is the most up to date information.  If you do get to go....USE the coupon code:  awesomeice for $2 Off!!!
There is lots of really "COOL" features!  This section (above) is called the Narrows.  It is really a tight fit!

There are led lights with special effects throughout! Ponds, fountains, lights, FIRE and music all add to the wonderful experience that IS the Ice Castles!

They also have a tunnel to crawl through that ends in a slide.  (There are no pictures of the slide, because I was the last one of our group, and I didn't know we were going on a tunnel/slide ride).
They even carved out/ built a Throne!

It is such a fun place to take pictures and just enjoy the ambiance!

At the end, they have hot chocolate and sweet rolls (etc) for sale for about $3.

Make sure you dress warm with good shoes!  You are walking on chunky ice....so its best to wear boots.  Also, bring your camera (I know...it kinda goes without saying...) OR a digital card and use one of the "loner" cameras that Sony has at their table set up as you enter.

I would recommend going early as the line to drive in gets really long.....like an hour wait LONG.

If you want more information, visit them HERE.  Or see their FB page...and don't forget the coupon code!

What a fun adventure!

Purex PowerShot laundry soap

Don't you hate it when a bottle of laundry soap says there are 30 loads worth, but due to mis-measuring, you actually end up with about 20?  When I am doing laundry, I'm always tempted to add a "little" more soap...(It gets CLEANER, right?!?).  Purex has come out with a new product that takes the guess work out of the measuring part.  This new bottle of soap is very strict about how much soap you get to use.  It seems like only a tiny little bit of soap...but since it is super concentrated, you aren't paying for them to add all the extra water, and you don't have to lug around the extra water...(anything to get out of any extra exercise, right?!).

The new Purex PowerShot is a simple way of delivering the right about of soap.  It is so convenient because you aren't tempted to add that "little" extra....and I trust my kids to do their own laundry with it.  All you have to do is flip open the lid, tip the bottle completely upsidedown (I know, kinda scary...but NOTHING extra comes out!), and then turn it right side up again.  The bottle refills itself!  If your load is large, or extra dirty, you can do an extra flip.

Purex is doing a sweepstakes:

Book Review: A Boy back from HEAVEN

GUEST POST FROM MY MOM http://blog.cedarfort.com/blog-tour-a-boy-back-from-heaven/

FROM CEDAR FORT:
About the book:
Standing above his hospital bed, Celeste and Billy Goodwin watched in horror as their young son Matthew’s eyes rolled back in his head and he became unresponsive for several harrowing minutes. Doctors called the episode a medical anomaly, but what really happened can only be described as a miracle. Discover the truth about heaven through a child’s eyes as you read Matthew’s account of his walk with angels and his shocking revelation months later about the angels’ identities.

About the author:
Celeste Goodwin, pediatric hypertension advocate, is a Christian speaker, patient advocacy presenter, national award-winning mom, and founder of the National Pediatric Blood Pressure Awareness Foundation. Her passion to help others is evident by the dynamic presentations in which she uses humor and her love of God to encourage change. Through her writing and speaking, Celeste encourages others to never lose faith and to always rely on the power of prayer. She ignites thought provoking transformations in the hearts and minds of those she communicates with. Her effectiveness is evident by the honors she has received, such as being selected by Disney owned Babble.com, as one of 2011’s Top 100 Moms Changing the World in the education division. Celeste was honored as Baton Rouge City Social Magazine’s January 2012 Extraordinary Woman. Celeste has appeared on local and regional news, radio, and television programs. She has also been featured in varying print media.
FROM REIDHEAD RANDOMNESS:

A Boy Back From Heaven is a detailed story about the struggle of her oldest son (Mathew) having numerous health problems, hospitalizations, surgeries etc., that led to him having a near death experience. This book described the Mothers feelings and experiences as her son went through all this. He was very sick and went through grueling procedures, & operations.  It tells how he was changed after his experience and had a great love for the Bible and Jesus.

A Boy Back From Heaven shared a nice message about a mother’s faith.  I was a little surprised and disappointed in the book though, because the title of the book led me to believe that the focus of the story was going to be about the near death experience, but there were only a couple of sentences about it.  I felt let down because that is the whole reason I read the book.  Although this book has a nice message, if you are interested in reading about near death experiences, I would not recommend this book for that purpose.

I received a free e-edition of this book for review purposes.  All opinions are my own.
